eco fashion news and reviews brought to you by Greenloop
If you caught Treehugger.com’s Tuesday’s post on solar chargers on the red carpet, you know that several Oscar bound celebs are being slipped eco-friendly goods as they roll to this year’s gala in their hybrids. For the fourth year in a row, as part of the “Red Carpet, Green Cars” drive-up campaign, a veritable cornucopia of ecoSwagg will be personally delivered into the arms of nominees and attendees chauffeured in Toyota and Lexus hybrids to the 78th Academy Awards. To get their wares in there, vendors make a donation to Global Green. Celebs smart enough to choose to show up in a hybrid get between four and five thousand dollars worth of green goodies, from organic denim to organic cabernet.
Among those represented in the bag (actually a post-consumer recycled box) are: The Ambrose Hotel, Arbor Snowboard, Biota Spring Water, Ecco Bella, Ecoganik (shop), Edun, Frog’s Leap organic wine, Loomstate (shop) , Fat Tire Ale, Napapijri Geographic, Shift magazine, Solar Style cell phone chargers, Toyota branded solar iPod® chargers, and The Villages of Loreto Bay, a Baja Mexico eco-resort. If you shop at www.thegreenloop.com, then you already have the inside line on where to score your Ecoganik and Loomstate threads, among many others. (Content from Treehugger.com, with a few additions.)
Greenloop represents the fusion of aesthetics and ethics, of style and sustainability, by providing the opportunity to look good AND do good without sacrificing your sense of style.

Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2006 to be held from May 2 to 5 is set to grow by 30 per cent and will be another sell out following the two year trend registering double-digit growth, according to Reed Travel Exhibitions, the organiser of Arabian Travel Market, the region’s premier travel and tourism trade event.
It’s nice to see the celebs raising awareness for the environment. I want one of those bags!
