		<description>Another great thing about *molded* shoes like the Melissa brand, is that there tends to be fewer materials and less labor involved in the production - so that's another aspect of the manufacturing process that's more eco-friendly than shoes made with other mass-production methods.   

I read that most shoes are made with 60-70 separate materials and as many steps in the production process.  Shoe manufacturing is super labor-intensive, which is why ninety-some percent of shoes bought in America are made in countries with very cheap labor and lax environmental standards.</description>
