The Mode: Watchin’ the ol’ pigskin

Jan 30, 2007 Author: Aysia Wright | Filed under: Greenloop

As we all know well, time moves at an often alarming pace. It we can’t slow it down, at least we can keep track of it in style with a unique, one-of-a-kind time piece like the Recycled Football Watch by Refinding. Available in two strap widths, one for men and one for women, these watches put a new spin on watching the ol’pigskin. Check it out!

We Have A Winner ( and she is stoked!)

Nov 30, 2006 Author: Aysia Wright | Filed under: Eco at Large, Green Events, Greenloop

As you may recall, we ran a contest from Sept. 1 through Oct. 31 in which we would award a $500 Greenloop gift certificate to one lucky shopper who spent at least $100 during this time at Greenloop. Well…..we have a winner!

Who’s the winner? Tahlia Harrison

What did she say? “WOW! I never win anything! This is so wonderful, Thank you! I truly respect what you’re doing and what you offer for the eco-concerned community out there… and the community who thinks that being green means you have to wear homely clothing. It’s because of people like you that the stereotype can be proven wrong. As a conscious consumer, it’s difficult to find clothing with style that is light on the environment, your store is one of the few places I know of that achieves both! Thank you so much!”

What did she get? Oh the green goods she got! With her $500 gift certificate, she ordered a Stewart+Brown Pucker Hoody, a Loomstate Desert Grass Zip front Hoody, a Ciel Baby Alpaca Scarf (not literally from a baby Alpaca mind you), a pair ot Stewart+Brown Tweed Cropped Pants, and some Inara Milk Bath! She is going to be sporting some seriously sustainable style in those threads. As a subscriber to our newlsetter, In The Loop, Tahlia stretched that $500 even further by using her 20% off coupon to squeeze an extra $125 out if her gift certificate too. Now that’s what I call being in the loop!

Aug 28, 2006 Author: Aysia Wright | Filed under: Greenloop

Starting September 1, 2006, shoppers at Greenloop who spend more than $100.00 will be entered into a drawing to win a $500 gift certificate to be applied to any Greenloop purchase. One entry will be made for each $100 purchase, so, the more you spend, the better your odds! The winner can use their gift certificate for goods or to purchase gift certificates for others (handy with the holidays approaching….). Ending October 31, 2006, a winner will be chosen by November 10th, and notified of their prize winning status via email. Go the the Greenloop homepage for further details. Reward yourself or shop for friends! Any way about it, it’s a win/win situation. Happy shopping!

Greenloop to Offer Green Shipping

Aug 16, 2006 Author: Aysia Wright | Filed under: Greenloop

The GreenLoop shows its ongoing commitment to the environment by supporting the development of renewable energy with Green Tags from the Bonneville Environmental Foundation. With each purchase you make at thegreenloop.com they will purchase $0.50 worth of Green Tags to offset the climate-altering greenhouse gas emissions from your product shipment and make it possible for new renewable energy to be added to the power grid.

Green Tags subsidizes the replacement of traditional polluting energy technologies like fossil fuels, with clean and renewable sources like solar and wind power.

Visit www.GreenTagsUSA.org for more information about offsetting greenhouse gas emissions from travel, home and business related activities.

"Rise of the Neo-Greens" at wired.com

Apr 26, 2006 Author: Aysia Wright | Filed under: Eco at Large, Greenloop

“there’s only one consumer item that’s more self-expressive, more mobile, and more on display than the car in your driveway - the clothes on your back. Which is why green apparel - the logical extension of the hybrid movement - is on the rise.”
