Interesting that the article really equates green consumerism with the affluent urban set.
Since investigating downshifting (as am about to do it) I have found that many of those who are spending less on other parts of their life are interesting in still spending more on green products, the solar panels, the bio fuel, the organic and the sustainable products.
I suppose thats another article – but got me thinking.
Matthew brings up a good point. I think there a many people out there willing to spend a little more to get a quality product. I would be really interested in his findings regarding downshifting and how this trend will effect the small towns throughout this country. Good peice.
