Well, I’m not quite sure how they’re treating their models over there at Skin And Threads, but this one appears to be extremely upset. The collection looks very cute and wearable. Maybe it’s because not all their products are organic and this model wishes they were. (I could be projecting here.) Skin And Threads is incorporating organic cotton into their label with a few pieces like their Mini Flare Dress and some of their t-shirts. That should bring this young woman at least a small glimmer of happiness…Or maybe she just needs a coffee.
We hope to see Skin And Threads make organic fabrics their mainstay. Their claims of having “an understanding of organic and natural materials” doesn’t quite make sense, since most of their clothes are still made with pesticide-laden conventional cotton. Maybe this troubled teen and Skin And Threads could both use some more “understanding.”

One Response for "She’s All Skin And Threads"
I wish I could see the fabric content, and more details about the garments. Their philosophy is very vague, also. Happy to see that marie claire, July 2008 issue has an article on an item.
